OK                        :   Save Settings and exit
Cancel                  :   Exit without saving the changes
Reset to defualt :   Restore the active tab page to its predefined settings values
                                 ( Or reset all if ‘Reset All Pages’ is checked )

Scan – Application Settings

Scan Settings :

Scan SubfoldersCheck this option if you want the program to scan the subfolders of the given folder(s) list
Do Not Scan Recycle BinCheck this option if you want the program to skip scanning the recycle bin content
Skip System and Application FoldersCheck this option if you want the program to skip the folders which attribute is system this to protect the program from working on a system folder
Skip Temp FilesCheck this option if you want the program to skip temp files from scanning
Skip Zero Length FilesCheck this option if you want the program to skip the zero length file from scanning
Skip Hidden FoldersCheck this option if you want the program to skip the hidden folders from scanning

Application Settings

Confirm On ExitCheck This if you want the program to show a confirmation message before exit
Maximize windows on StartupCheck this if you want the program to start maximized
Minimize to system tray when scanningCheck this if you want to minimize while the program is scanning . The program will restore its state after the scan is finished
Auto Save User SettingsCheck this if you want the program to save the user settings on exit
Auto Load User SettingsCheck this if you want the program to load the saved settings on startup
Log Application ActionsCheck this if you want the program to log every action while the program is running. You will have to set the log file location.

Scan Types

  Scan All File Types :

File SizeCompare files by size
File ContentCompare Files content by calculating MD5 hash for the content
Same File NamesCompare with same file name
File ExtensionTake File Extension in consideration while scan for duplicates
( Cannot scan for duplicates only by file extension )
Using ‘File Content’ is the most accurate scan option to find Duplicate Files

    Scan Images :

Image SimilarityScan for similar images with an adjustable similarity ratio
Same ResolutionConsider image as duplicate if has the same resolution
Same Aspect RatioConsider image as duplicate if has the same Aspect Ratio
Same Image NameCompare with same file name
Using ‘Image Similarity’ with height similarity ratio is the best scan option for finding duplicate images

 Scan Audio :

Data OnlyScan for Duplicate Audio with the music content regardless of its tags to find the duplicate music files even if they are tagged differently
AlbumConsider audio as duplicate if has the same Album name
TitleConsider audio as duplicate if has the same Title name
ArtistConsider audio as duplicate if has the same Artist name
Same Audio NamesCompare with same file name
Using ‘Music Data Only’ is the most accurate scan option to find Duplicate Audio

Duplicate Files Actions

Action Settings :

Protect System Folders and Files ( Recommended )Check this option if you want the program to protect system folders and files of being Renamed , Deleted or Moved  it is highly Recommended to leave this checked unless you know exactly what you are doing  
Mark Processed Files In Different ColorCheck this if you want the program to recolor the processed files in different color ( it will be returned to normal colors if result grid is re-sorted or you did new scan )
Delete Empty FoldersCheck this if you want the program to delete the empty folders after moving or deleting the marked files
Delete Files To Recycle BinCheck this option if you want to delete the files to the recycle bin not permanently , There will be another confirmation message on delete

Rename Files :

   Write down the word you want to use as prefix for the renamed files
   Write down the word you want to use as suffix for the renamed files
   ( At least you must set one of them to be able to rename files )

Move / Copy Files :

Backup Folder : Write down or use open folder dialog to set the folder to be used as a backup for the moved or copied files
Maintain Original Folder Structure : Check this if you want the program to maintain the original folder structure while copy or move to the backup folder

Protected Folders

These Protected Folders List overrides any other options and settings , That to prevent the program from performing any action to these folders like Scan , Rename , Move , Delete or Copy

DO NOT modify this list unless you know exactly what you are doing

    Add            :  Use this button to choose a folder to add to the protected list
    Remove    :  Use this button to remove the selected folder from the list
    Clear All   :  Use this button to clear the protected list ( remove all protected folders from the list )
